The Soil To Profit program is specifically designed for Black farmers who are interested in enhancing their farming practices through whole farm management principles.
Our mission is to make whole farm management education accessible to as many Black farmers as possible. Thanks to our sponsors and partners, we are able to offer the Level 1 training at no cost to participants. For detailed information on any fees associated with the program, please contact us directly.
Participants will gain a solid foundation in Whole Farm Management, with a focus on ecological literacy, Whole Farm Management goal creation and refinement, and the application of these goals in decision-making processes. You’ll learn to observe and measure land health, understand the variability of management tools under different conditions, and develop strategies for monitoring, evaluation, and adjustment of management practices.
Yes, successful completion of the Level 1 training opens the door to our Level II and III programs, collectively known as “RAMP.” These advanced cohorts delve deeper into specific aspects of whole farm management and provide opportunities for hands-on learning, mentorship, and community building among Black farmers committed to sustainable and profitable agricultural practices.
