Texas Small Farmers and Ranchers (TSFR-CBO) is a Community Based Organization established to reach the goals of strengthening USDA outreach efforts to limited resource, traditionally underserved, and underrepresented farmer and rancher customers to ensure USDA and coordinate program delivery outreach efforts in counties throughout Texas. This CBO is actively accelerating assistance to minorities, females, limited resource producers, veteran, beginning farmers, and ranchers by providing outreach assistance in receiving information, technical and program assistance from USDA, state and county agencies as well as various Texas universities.

Our Purpose

We help Historically Underserved producers, form rural farmers and ranchers to urban gardeners, reach their potential in their knowledge, skills, and business enterprise. We do this by serving as a conduit to the best information and resources available, and as an active voice at the table in public and private arenas.

Our Vision

Our programs and collaborations will reach over 400 new families each year, including training new  and existing growers, workshops, and opening the doors to  sales & outlets and opportunities. In addition we will  provide  education for public decision makers. We will establish a culture of economic empowerment to unserved and underserved communities through the production and direct access to healthy foods… we will establish the blueprint, training the next generation of farmers and strengthening the movement for land and food sovereignty, and  community self-determination.
