Small Farms - USDA

Provides small and midsize producers valuable resources and program information about access to capital, land management and conservation practices, managing risk, finding local markets, and other educational resources.

National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)

Provides farmers and ranchers with financial and technical assistance to voluntarily put conservation on the ground, helping the environment as well as agricultural operations.

Farm Service Agency (FSA)

Provides access to available FSA programs throughout the state, including low-interest loans, commodity price support, disaster assistance, and conservation incentives. FSA programs are designed to provide an important safety net for farmers and ranchers during times of economic uncertainty, disaster, and emergency.

Natural Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) 

Conducts hundreds of surveys every year and prepares reports covering virtually every aspect of U.S. agriculture.

Rural Development Cooperative Services

Promotes understanding and use of the cooperatives to market and distribute agricultural products. The Cooperative Services division serves cooperative members, directors, management, educational institutions, organizations, rural residents, and others interested in cooperative-based business.

Risk Management Agency

Manages the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) to provide innovative crop insurance products to America’s farmers and ranchers.

AgriLife Extension

This is a statewide network of professional educators, trained volunteers, and county offices. It reaches into every Texas county to address local priority needs.

Texas Farm and Ranch Lands Conservation Program

This program supports responsible stewardship and conservation of working lands, water, fish and wildlife, and agricultural production.
