Transitioning To Organic

In this online knowledge forum hosted by Texas Small Farmers & Ranchers/CBO, Joshua Coleman, State Outreach Coordinator from USDA-Farm Service Agency will help introduce some key “need-to-knows” in regard to USDA’s new Organic Transition Initiative.

This new initiative, announced just a couple months ago, is designed to support farmers like you and I who have interest in becoming organically certified. In addition, Mr. Coleman will share information on opportunities for farmers to receive mentoring, direct financial, and on-farm technical assistance.

Also, Floyd Nauls, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)- State Outreach Coordinator, will be stopping by to update us on NRCS dates and deadlines, and share some best practices when working with USDA.
